Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a shipping/receiving associate for 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM) in Illinois. You will assist with daily shipping department activities, including material movement, receiving, loading, unloading, and shipping printed products to customers via FedEx/UPS/USPS and other carriers.

Responsibilities include verifying documents, packing, loading, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and service level agreements, while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication across departments.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for rates, weights, and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials and finished products shipped via freight or third party LTL carrier.
• Checks goods against shipping documents; packs, bills of lading, weights, and shipping instructions.
• Unloads trucks; verifies bills of lading, packing slips, and quantities; maintains records of goods received.
• Operates material handling equipment and tools to stage materials and load trucks.
• Communicates with customers, suppliers, and production to coordinate shipping/receiving activities.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and follows safety and quality standards.
• May drive a delivery van locally; adheres to regulatory laws.
