Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons seeks a shipping/receiving associate to assist with daily materials movement, receiving, loading, unloading and shipping of printed products and samples. You will work with FedEx/UPS/USPS, ensure compliance with customer specs and SLAs, and support manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include packing, bills of lading, weight postings, and maintaining records. Candidates should be comfortable using forklifts and basic IT systems.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Administrative/operational support in shipping/manufacturing operations.
• General knowledge of information systems, including materials tracking systems, storage and retrieval systems, inventory control systems and reporting systems.
• Basic knowledge of technology including computers and software programs.
• Adequate oral and written communication skills across departments.
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Powered Industrial Vehicle operation experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs shipment and receipt duties for materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.
• Pack goods for shipment and prepare bills of lading; attach instructions.
• Receive materials, unload trucks, verify against bills and keep records.
• Support manufacturing areas with standard procedures and documentation.
• Maintain organized files and records; ensure traceability of materials.
• Operate material handling equipment to stage materials and load trucks.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, customer service and production.
• Coordinate with teams to minimize costs and optimize handling.
