RRD in United States, IL, is seeking a first-shift Shipping Clerk to support daily shipping/receiving activities. The role involves moving materials, preparing shipments, and coordinating with carriers to meet customer specs and service levels.

Responsibilities include checking goods against documents, packing to specifications, and maintaining accurate records. It requires strong organization, basic IT skills, and safe operation of forklifts. Physical effort up to 50 lb is expected.

Competenze

• HS diploma or GED is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of Administrative/operational support in shipping/manufacturing operations.
• General knowledge of information systems for materials tracking, storage/retrieval, inventory control and reporting.
• Basic knowledge of technology including computers and software programs.
• Adequate oral and written communication skills to communicate across departments.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate work with others.
• Requires Powered Industrial Vehicle operation.
• Able to regularly lift up to 25 lb, frequently up to 50 lb, and rarely over 50 lb.
• Basic arithmetic skills (rates, ratios, percentages).
• Other duties as requested.

Mansioni

• Ship/receive materials and finished products via freight or LTL carriers.
• Prepare bills of lading; post weights and charges; attach shipping instructions.
• Unload goods and inspect against bills of lading and packing slips.
• Support manufacturing areas per standard procedures.
• Maintain files and documentation.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to stage materials and load trucks.
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and production.
• Assist with coordination of shipping/receiving activities with other departments.
• Ensure safety, quality and procedures are followed.
• Maintain clean, secure receiving/shipping areas.
