Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. seeks a Shipping/Receiving Material Handler 1 in Valley, NE. The role involves receiving, unloading, and storing product loads, inspecting galvanized products, and coordinating with drivers and customers.

You will operate forklifts and shag trucks, tag incoming items, and ensure quality while maintaining safety and PPE standards. Shifts include 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with compensation at $25.36 per hour.

Qualifications

• No degree required, 0-1 years relevant experience.
• Ability to read and follow tags, bills of lading and shipping papers.
• Experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes and handling galvanizing materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate shag truck and forklifts to move up to 22,000 lbs.
• Inspect galvanized material for quality and coordinate special handling.
• Read and enter data on product tags and shipping papers.
• Move steel and other material up to 50 pounds by hand and use small hand tools.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the plant and interact with customers and drivers.
