Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Shipping/Receiving Material Handler 1 for the Valley, NE facility. The role involves receiving, unloading, storing incoming loads, inspecting products for damage, and using forklifts/shag trucks to move materials up to 22,000 lbs.

You will create tags, enter data, and ensure galvanized material meets quality standards while coordinating special handling. The position reports to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor and requires 0–1 years of experience, ability to read

Qualifications

• No Degree. 0-1 years relevant experience.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
• Ability to read tags, bills of lading, and shipping papers.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Operate shag truck and forklifts to move up to 22,000 lbs.
• Inspect incoming material for venting and hanging.
• Inspect galvanized material for quality and coordinate special handling.
• Read tags and shipping papers; create tags with counts.
• Interact with customers and drivers and assist in safe housekeeping.
• Assist in general plant clean up and PPE compliance.
