Job summary

Stella-Jones Corporation is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team in Silver Springs, NV. The role centers on overseeing inbound and outbound freight by truck and rail, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timely movement while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will manage inbound receiving records, coordinate outbound shipments, verify customer-specific requirements, and monitor rail demurrage.

Qualifications

1–3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, logistics coordination, yard management, or warehouse operations (rail shipments/demurrage a plus).
Attention to detail with high accuracy in inventory and paperwork.
Strong verbal and written communication with drivers, yard crews, carriers, and office staff.
Proficient with inventory/shipping management software and Microsoft Office.
Safety-first mindset in manufacturing/yard environment.

Responsibilities

Inbound Logistics & Receiving: Inspect shipments, verify documentation against physical counts, and ensure accurate receiving records.
Outbound Logistics & Dispatch: Coordinate, schedule, and order trucks and rail cars for outgoing shipments. Prepare all necessary shipping manifests and paperwork.
Quality & Accuracy Verification: Ensure all customer-specific shipping requirements are fulfilled. Maintain outbound photo logs and documentation to verify order correctness.
Rail Fleet & Demurrage Management: Monitor rail car movement and document/track demurrage reasons to optimize logistics efficiency.
Yard & Documentation Flow: Consolidate paperwork from the yard, promptly enter data into internal systems, and distribute records to the appropriate personnel.
Safety Leadership: Actively participate in and support the facility’s safety culture, following all plant protocols and procedures.
Team Support: Perform other related logistics and administrative duties as needed to support plant operations.
