Qualifications

• 2-4+ years in logistics, freight dispatch, transportation planning, or supply chain management.
• Able to negotiate competitive freight rates and identify least-cost routing.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with 3PLs, carriers, and internal teams.
• Proficient with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP (SAP), and Excel.
• Commitment to workplace and transportation safety.

Responsibilities

• Secure reliable freight capacity (truck/rail) to meet logistics needs while controlling costs.
• Execute daily dispatch duties for assigned locations per SOPs.
• Coordinate asset sharing and eliminate bottlenecks with the logistics team.
• Build and maintain relationships with freight carriers; evaluate performance.
• Maintain freight rate databases and provide prompt quotes with sales.
• Bridge communications between sales, plant operations, carriers, and customers for on-time deliveries.
• Provide rapid-response support during weather events, rail delays, or urgent needs.
• Participate in safety initiatives and contribute logistics insights to projects.
