Job summary

Socket.dev in Ocala, FL is seeking a detail-focused shipping/receiving clerk to provide excellent customer service while managing incoming calls and processing shipments.

Responsibilities include verifying shipments, scheduling deliveries, checking in/out tractors and trailers, processing outbound loads, maintaining records, and ensuring GMP compliance, with a $22.00 per hour base plus a $1.50 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 months verifiable customer service experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Outstanding computer and data entry skills required.
• Ability to effectively multi-task in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing information and orders.
• Schedule and review daily delivery and carrier appointments.
• Process deliveries and check in/out tractors and trailers promptly.
• Complete outbound loads and resolve shipping/receiving issues with internal staff.
• Maintain daily audits and records, including yard checks and inventory tracking.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and report any noncompliance.
• Investigate discrepancies and reconcile mis-shipped or damaged goods.
• Follow safety rules and assist in enforcement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
