Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Mississippi – Collins Plant is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to lead the shipping department, direct personnel, and ensure procedures comply with SOPs, GMPs, USDA and OSHA regulations, while achieving productivity and customer satisfaction. Qualifications

• 4+ years in supply chain or shipping, preferably for perishable foods.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong communication with internal and external customers.
• Proficient computer and math skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage department by establishing procedures to meet shipping schedules and budgets.
• Oversee day-to-day activities for transportation and storage of materials; ensure safe loading/unloading to prevent contamination/damage.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce repeat deficiencies.
• Mentor, coach and train/cross-train staff; provide consistent feedback on performance.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
• Enforce safety initiatives and PPE; promote zero-accident culture.
• Ensure docks/storage facilities are organized and compliant.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet goals.
• Learn and adhere to any applicable Union contract.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
