Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Shipping Superintendent at our Collins Plant in Mississippi. You will partner with the Shipping Manager to supervise staff, ensure on-time dispatch, proper storage, and compliance with SOPs, GMPs, USDA, OSHA, and company policies.

You will oversee daily activities, mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, manage safety, and deliver reports on bottlenecks and risks to schedules while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years relevant in a supply chain or shipping environment; perishable foods experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence and conflict resolution; supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner; multi-lingual strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage department through supervisors following established procedures to meet shipping schedules and budgets.
• Oversee daily activities to ensure efficient transportation and storage of materials used by production lines and safe loading/unloading of product.
• Review docks and storage facilities to ensure organization and compliance with guidelines.
• Compile reports communicating bottlenecks, issues, and risks to schedules.
• Mentor, coach and train employees, provide consistent feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in solution implementation.
