Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years relevant in a supply chain or shipping environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of timekeeping, policy adherence, and conflict resolution.
• Awareness of safety policies and procedures and ability to enforce them.

Responsibilities

• Manage department by establishing procedures and adjusting as necessary to meet shipping schedules and budget objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day activities to ensure efficient transportation and storage of materials and proper loading/unloading of product.
• Mentor, coach and cross-train employees; provide feedback for development.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly.
• Follow and promote all safety initiatives; ensure PPE use where mandatory.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals and maintain organized docks.
