Job summary

Miller Industries is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to oversee loading/unloading activities, verify shipments, and coordinate records and schedules. The role ensures accurate, timely movement of goods and adherence to shipping specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business/Logistics or equivalent experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team and interact with customers and transport partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school related to Business or Logistics; or three-to-five-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of LN software and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities and schedules.
• Oversees outgoing shipping activities for accuracy and condition of shipments.
• Determines space requirements and position of shipment in containers and trucks.
• Determines routing and load limits of trucks according to schedules and state limits.
• Inspects loading operations for compliance with shipping specifications and seals containers.
