Summary:

The primary purpose of the Warehouse Lead position is to oversee and manage the shipping and receiving department operations.

1st Shift: This position will be at our Johnson Lake location. 250 Johnson Lake Blvd. Adairsville, GA

Essential Functions:

• Lead all components of safety, health, and environmental programs to achieve and maintain zero incidents and injuries.
• Conduct group meetings with all members of the shift every day at the beginning of the shift.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Coordinate and prioritize incoming/outgoing shipments.
• Utilize warehouse management systems.
• Monitor and optimize receiving processes to improve efficiency.
• Report unsafe activities to supervisor, manager, or Human Resources.
• Supervise and train other employees.
• Monitor Weekly Dock Audits.
• Monitor Daily SMAT Audits.
• This position requires flexible working hours, including overtime, and assisting in covering shifts during vacations and call-offs.
• Assist in maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
• Prepare BOLs.
• Prepare Pick Documents.
• Close and manage jobs.
• Update Shipping Board.
• Maintain close communication and follow-up with carriers.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and promoting safety awareness.
• Perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.
