Job description

First City Staffing is searching for a 2nd shift (2:00pm to 10:00pm) shipping and receiving specialist in a plastic molding injection plant in Vincennes, IN. The ideal candidate must be reliable and have noted work history.

Pay: $16.88/hr

90 days temp to permanent

Summary:

Verifies quantity, quality, labeling, and addressing of products and items of merchandise ready for shipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Basic computer operations (EDI).
• Create shipping labels and documents to facilitate the shipment of parts to the customer.
• Pick parts from the holding area, prepare for shipment, and load trucks. Load, unload, rotate stock and store parts as required.
• Operate Lift Truck and Hand Truck.
• Keep general work area clean and organized.
• Support Company policies and procedures.

Competencies:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies : Written Communication - Able to read and interpret written information.

Education and/or Experience:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
