Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 20 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are hiring immediately for an experienced Shipping Lead for the Chicago Plant.

The schedule is Monday - Friday, with Saturdays required during busy season or based on business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma and 5-8 years of relevant work experience in a production environment. The ability to perform efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment is critical to the role.

Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, and with great expertise, coordinates all phases of the Shipping and Receiving process. The team leader will motivate and ensure all employees follow safety procedures related to forklift operation, double runner, pallet jacks, truck loading, truck docking procedures, rack loading, and maintaining a safe work environment at all times. The individual will assist with cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and help establish plans to handle raw materials and finished goods efficiently throughout the process. They will also be responsible for coordinating the cleaning and organization of the warehouse daily.

These are functions a qualified incumbent or candidate must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Communicate daily with Supervisor, production, and sales
• Coordinate pickup and deliveries with various trucking companies
• Check manifests to determine orders to be pulled, location, and product availability
• Prepare orders for shipping and verify proper filling
• Load and unload trucks manually or using a forklift
• Provide training for current and new employees in shipping
• Prepare shipping paperwork
• Support all company safety practices and programs
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

• Require frequent standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, grasping, and reaching
• Lift up to 80 pounds and push/pull up to 80 pounds; push/pull up to 1200 pounds on a skid with a motorized hand truck/pallet jack
• Manual dexterity to grasp objects and operate hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift
• Must wear hearing protection and safety shoes
