Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest U.S. cruise company, seeks Waiters to join the shipboard hotel and restaurant team for the 2026 season. You will provide guests with an elegant dining experience and greet guests by name while delivering menus, courses, and beverages.

This temporary, 28-week assignment offers an onboard lifestyle with competitive weekly pay and travel, room and board, and training. Successful candidates are at least 18, U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug test required (including Marijuana).
• Ability to work onboard for up to 28 weeks and live on board.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience.
• Set up and break down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour, including tables, linen, silverware, china and glassware.
• Cater to all culinary requests efficiently.
• Acknowledge guests by name, escort to tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer questions about menu items.
• Relay orders to the galley and serve courses/beverages, ensuring items are presentable and garnished.
• May perform other functions such as greeting guests on embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment.
