Job summary

Noblis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support NAVSEA/NSWCPD ship programs, focusing on oil pollution abatement and wastewater systems for Navy and allied vessels. You will design, analyze, test, and operate mechanical equipment for government and military applications.

Key duties include creating mechanical designs and drawings, performing precise calculations, building and testing prototypes, and preparing leadership reports.

Qualifications

  • US citizen with SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance and testing.
  • Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design and manufacturing tools.
  • Experience reviewing models/drawings for manufacturability.
  • Experience with documentation including drawings, manuals, BOMs.

Responsibilities

  • Creating mechanical designs and drawings.
  • Writing precise calculations.
  • Creating and testing prototypes for functionality.
  • Re-engineering products and recalculating for full functionality.
  • Preparing reports and leadership documentation.
  • Perform obsolescence evaluation and assist with replacements.
