Job summary

Noblis MSD is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support U.S. Navy programs, focusing on oil pollution abatement in wastewater systems.

You will design, evaluate, test, and operate mechanical equipment for government and military use, with responsibilities from CAD drawings to obsolescence assessments. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Marine, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience, and security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with equipment design principles and manufacturability reviews.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Experience reviewing models and drawings for manufacturability of parts.
• Experience with documentation development including drawings, manuals, BOMs.
• Familiarity with military specifications for technical design.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical designs and drawings for ship programs.
• Write precise calculations and analyses.
• Create and test prototypes for functionality.
• Re-engineer products and recalculate for full functionality.
• Prepare reports and documentation for leadership.
• Perform obsolescence evaluation and assist with replacements.
