Job summary

Noblis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support NAVSEA/NSWCPD ship programs focused on oil pollution abatement in wastewater systems. The role involves designing, testing, and evaluating mechanical equipment for Navy, Coast Guard, Army, and allied platforms, with emphasis on NOW systems and waste transfer equipment.

You will prepare technical drawings, perform calculations, test prototypes, and assist with obsolescence evaluations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with equipment design principles and mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance and testing.

Responsibilities

• Create mechanical designs and drawings.
• Write precise calculations.
• Create and test prototypes for functionality.
• Re-engineer products and recalculate for full functionality.
• Prepare reports and documentation for leadership.
• Perform obsolescence evaluation and assist with finding replacements.
