Job summary

Noblis seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support NAVSEA/NSWCPD missions, focusing on oil pollution abatement in wastewater systems for Navy ships. You will design, analyze, and test mechanical equipment, while providing obsolescence evaluations and documentation for leadership.

The role involves working with U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, Army and foreign military ships, applying 2D/3D CAD tools and rigorous design practices. On-call, part-time hours may apply in a hybrid/remote-friendly setup.

Qualifications

• US citizen with active SECRET level DoD clearance or ability to obtain one.
• Experience with equipment design principles.
• Familiarity with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Experience reviewing models and drawings for manufacturability of parts.
• Experience with documentation development including drawings, technical manuals, BOMs.
• Familiarity with military specifications for technical design.

Responsibilities

• Create and test prototypes for functionality.
• Re-engineer products and recalculate for full functionality.
• Prepare reports and documentation for leadership.
