Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Marine, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance and testing.
  • US citizen with active DoD SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with equipment design principles and documentation development.
  • Familiarity with 2D/3D design and manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
  • Knowledge of military specifications for technical design.

Responsibilities

  • Creating mechanical designs and drawings.
  • Writing precise calculations.
  • Creating and testing prototypes for functionality.
  • Re-engineering products when problems are found and recalculating for return to full functionality.
  • Preparing reports and documentation for leadership.
  • Perform obsolescence evaluation and assist with finding replacements.
