Job summary

Noblis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, evaluate, plan, test and operate mechanical equipment and systems for U.S. Navy ship programs, focusing on wastewater NOW systems and oil pollution abatement.

You will create drawings, perform calculations, and prototype for functionality while supporting obsolescence evaluation and documentation for leadership. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Marine/Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience and familiarity with

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance and testing.
Experience with equipment design principles and lifecycle support.
Proficiency with 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
Ability to review models and drawings for manufacturability of parts.
Experience with documentation development including drawings, technical manuals, bills of materials.
Familiarity with military specifications for technical design.

Responsibilities

Creating mechanical designs and drawings
Writing precise calculations
Creating and testing prototypes for functionality
Re-engineering products when problems are found and recalculating for the return of products to full functionality
Preparing reports and documentation for leadership
Perform obsolescence evaluation and assist with finding replacements
This is an on call postion with P/T hours.
