Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking a Lead Line Cook for the 2026 season on America’s rivers. This role supports the galley team across breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following menu matrices and dietary needs, while delivering first-class dining on board our ships.

The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of experience in a full-service kitchen, line cook background for all meals, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience at a full-service restaurant, hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Must have line experience with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and buffets.
• Strong organizational and verbal/written communication in English.
• Available to travel and work a flexible schedule including long days for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of food production for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Support Executive/Sous Chef with menu execution and dietary requests.
• Maintain galley sanitation, inventory control and daily temperature logs.
• Lead and supervise galley stewards; ensure timely service and quality presentation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety policies and standard recipes.
