Job summary

American Cruise Lines seeks a Lead Line Cook to join our shipboard team for the 2026 season on America’s rivers. You will assist the Executive/Sous Chef with breakfast, lunch, and dinner production, ensuring adherence to menu matrices and dietary needs while delivering a first‑class dining experience.

Applicants should have 4+ years in full‑service dining, strong organizational and communication skills in English, and the ability to work a demanding schedule on board a vessel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a full-service restaurant, hotel, resort, or cruise ship.
• Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule including long days for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Control inventory and minimize food waste using standardized recipes.
• Acknowledge and prepare all special requests and allergies.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation policies in the galley.
• Provide gracious hospitality to guests and crew with safety and efficiency.
• Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and onboard events as needed.
• Lead and guide a small galley team and ensure timely service.
