Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead on board operations, uphold USPH standards, and develop a diverse housekeeping team. You will coordinate guest staterooms, public areas, and crew accommodations, while maintaining the ship's pristine condition and safety protocols.

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will drive inspections, schedule shifts, address guest issues promptly, and foster collaboration with other departments to exceed guest expectations on

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years housekeeping leadership experience on ships or 200+ room 5 Star hotel, within the last 4 years.
• Proven experience leading a diverse team.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Strong partnering, collaboration and relationship skills with various Line of Business/Departmental Leaders.
• Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Programs) with a demonstrated proficiency with PC based data bases.
• Knowledge of maintenance reporting cloud-based systems and hotel integration, with an openness to learning new ones.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned area/location including but not limited to: Guest Staterooms/Crew Accommodations, Night Operations, Public Areas, Deck, Wardrobe, Floor Care.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of ship.
• Conduct daily area Inspections and confirm they comply to our Show quality and maintenance and USPH standards.
• Ensuring MLC 2006 compliance/accurate time recording practices are being followed in Company provided systems for crew members.
• Overall scheduling of the team with work assignments.
• Handle and resolve housekeeping related Guest issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily inspection of designated areas which includes: Daily Stateroom Inspection as per Quality Standard as well as Stateroom Pest Management Inspection & Quarterly Stateroom Inspection (maintenance & upkeep).
• Ensure all housekeeping areas meet USPH and Coast Guard regulations.
• Oversee appropriate use and operation of housekeeping equipment and chemicals.
• Supervise luggage operations on embark/debark days.
• Facilitate department meetings; conduct daily pre-shift and break out meetings.
• Timely communication, documentation and appropriate follow up on all guest issues.
• Provide leadership and development to team.
