Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead guest staterooms, crew accommodations, and public areas aboard a Disney vessel. You will report to the Housekeeping Manager and develop the housekeeping crew while exceeding guest expectations.

This shipboard role requires strong leadership, USPH compliance knowledge, and collaboration with multiple departments to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years housekeeping leadership experience on ships or 200+ room 5 Star hotel within the last 4 years.
• Proven experience leading a diverse team.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Strong partnering, collaboration and relationship skills with various LOB/Dept leaders.
• Strong PC skills and knowledge of maintenance reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned area including Guest Staterooms, Crew Accommodations, Night Operations, Public Areas, Deck, Wardrobe, Floor Care.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of ship.
• Conduct daily area inspections for quality and USPH standards.
• Ensure compliance with MLC 2006 time recording practices.
• Overall scheduling of the team with work assignments.
• Handle and resolve guest housekeeping issues promptly.
• Conduct daily inspections including pest management and quarterly statroom checks.
• Ensure all areas meet USPH and Coast Guard regulations.
• Oversee use of housekeeping equipment and chemicals.
• Supervise luggage operations on embark/debark days.
• Lead department meetings and pre-shift briefs.
• Communicate and follow up on guest issues.
• Provide leadership and development to the team.
