Job summary

Disney Cruise Line seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead shipboard housekeeping teams, ensure safety and cleanliness across guest areas, and uphold USPH standards. You will report to the Housekeeping Manager, oversee daily operations, and drive guest satisfaction while developing crew members onboard.

Ideal candidates bring leadership experience on ships or large hotels, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced maritime environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Housekeeping Leadership experience on ships or 200+ room 5 Star hotel, within the last 4 Years.
• Proven experience leading a diverse team.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Strong partnering, collaboration and relationship skills with various Line of Business/Departmental Leaders.
• Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Programs) with a demonstrated proficiency with PC based data bases.
• Knowledge of maintenance reporting cloud-based systems and hotel integration, with an openness to learning new ones.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned area/location including but not limited to: Guest Staterooms/Crew Accommodations, Night Operations, Public Areas, Deck, Wardrobe, Floor Care.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of ship.
• Conduct daily area Inspections and confirm they comply to our Show quality and maintenance and USPH standards.
• Ensuring MLC 2006 compliance/accurate time recording practices are being followed in Company provided systems for crew members.
• Overall scheduling of the team with work assignments.
• Handle and resolve housekeeping related Guest issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily inspection of designated areas which includes: Daily Stateroom Inspection as per Quality Standard as well as Stateroom Pest Management Inspection & Quarterly Stateroom Inspection (maintenance & upkeep).
• Ensure all housekeeping areas meet USPH and Coast Guard regulations.
• Oversee appropriate use and operation of housekeeping equipment and chemicals.
• Supervise luggage operations on embark/debark days.
• Facilitate department meetings; conduct daily pre-shift and break out meetings.
• Timely communication, documentation and appropriate follow up on all guest issues.
• Provide leadership and development to team.
