Job summary

Disney Cruise Line is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead a diverse team aboard a Disney vessel in the United States. You will manage guest staterooms, public areas, and crew accommodations while ensuring top cleanliness, safety, and regulatory standards.

Role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic shipboard environment. Onboard benefits and a structured development path are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years housekeeping leadership on ships or 200+ room 5 Star hotel within the last 4 years.
• Proven experience leading a diverse team.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Strong partnering, collaboration and relationship skills with various Line of Business/Departmental Leaders.
• Strong PC skills with Microsoft Programs.
• Knowledge of maintenance reporting cloud-based systems and hotel integration.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assigned area/location including but not limited to: Guest Staterooms/Crew Accommodations, Night Operations, Public Areas, Deck, Wardrobe, Floor Care.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of ship.
• Conduct daily area Inspections and confirm they comply to our Show quality and maintenance and USPH standards.
• Ensuring MLC 2006 compliance/accurate time recording practices are being followed.
• Overall scheduling of the team with work assignments.
• Handle and resolve housekeeping related Guest issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily inspection of designated areas including Stateroom Inspections and Pest Management Inspections.
• Ensure all housekeeping areas meet USPH and Coast Guard regulations.
• Oversee appropriate use of housekeeping equipment and chemicals.
• Supervise luggage operations on embark/debark days.
• Facilitate department meetings; conduct pre-shift and break out meetings.
• Timely communication, documentation and follow up on all guest issues.
• Provide leadership and development to team.
