Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA flagged cruise line, seeks an Excursions Director to lead shore excursions, explorations, and transfers aboard our ships for the 2026 season.

You will coordinate vendors, brief guests, manage inventory, and serve as brand ambassador with a strong focus on guest satisfaction. The role requires long hours and living onboard, with seven days a week work and 6–8 weeks on board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Enthusiasm, confidence, and a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Geography preferred.
• TWIC credential.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust shore excursions and transfers.
• Be well-versed in cruising regions, ports of call, and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests as brand ambassador on daily excursions.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors and ground operators for timely service.
• Accommodate highly personalized guest requests (e.g., kayaking, golf tee times, private transport).
• Present detailed excursion briefings and communicate changes confidently.
