Job summary

American Cruise Lines is seeking an Excursions Director to lead shore excursions, explorations, and transfers aboard our ships for the 2026 season. You will act as brand ambassador and coordinate with vendors, guests, and staff, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.

This full-time, exempt role involves long hours, high guest interaction, and on-board living during the voyage schedule. A passion for guest satisfaction and collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Excellent public speaking skills and guest engagement ability.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. geography preferred.
• TWIC credential required.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust all shore excursions and transfers.
• Be well-versed in cruising region, ports of call and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as company representative.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors, coach companies and ground operators.
• Accommodate highly personalized guest requests and arrangements.
• Socialize with guests during meals and events.
• Present detailed excursion briefings at cruise start.
• Inform guests of excursion changes confidently.
• Oversee excursion inventory and invoicing systems.
• Manage launch boat operations with the Mate.
• Coordinate weekly office inventory and materials.
