Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest USA flagged cruise line, seeks an Excursions Director to lead shore excursions and transfers aboard our ships for the 2026 season. You will partner with guests, vendors, and hotel teams to deliver memorable regional experiences with a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, presenting excursion briefings, promoting onboard sales, and maintaining inventory while living aboard for 6-8 weeks at a time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, tourism or event management preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Enthusiasm, confidence and a can-do attitude.
• Strong public speaking skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and knowledge of U.S. geography; TWIC credential.

Responsibilities

• Arrange, confirm and adjust shore excursions and transfers.
• Be versed in cruising region, ports of call and excursions offered.
• Accompany guests on daily excursions as brand ambassador.
• Coordinate logistics with vendors and ground operators for timely service.
• Present detailed excursion briefings at cruise start.
• Inform crew of daily excursion offerings and changes.
• Oversee excursion inventory and invoicing system; manage hardware.
• Promote onboard sales and brand loyalty programs.
• Report status to Home Office regarding cruises and guest issues.
• Perform bartending duties as needed with management.
