Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) is seeking a Program Manager (Ship Stores) to oversee ship store automation initiatives and develop policies for automated systems within the Ships Store Program and fleet.

The role requires governance over card programs, vendor coordination, and ERP guidance, with a focus on compliance and process improvements across Navy procurement activities.

Qualifications

• GENERAL EXPERIENCE: 3 years in administrative, merchandising, or related fields with staff oversight and high-level liaison.
• SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 1 year of college can substitute for 9 months of experience, up to a 4 year degree.
• SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 4 years in management of operations, merchandising, procurement, and ships store activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a branch of five civilians and handles performance, leave, and disciplinary actions.
• Develops/updates Ships Store Bulletins and coordinates with private sector vendors on stock, buys, and inventory.
• Directs Navy ERP guidance for Code A/NEXCOM and supports data management, migrations, and training.
• Maintains liaison with Fleet and Navy officials on ships store issues and reports progress.
• Ensures compliance with DON policies on PCard and related programs; submits compliance reports.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
