Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) in Norfolk, VA seeks an experienced Program Manager to oversee ships store automation initiatives and related ERP and purchasing programs. You will develop policies, manage staff, and ensure DON policy compliance across afloat and ashore operations.

Responsibilities include supervising a five-person team, updating vendor bulletins, and coordinating with Fleet and DFAS. ANACI eligibility and base access are required.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in administrative, buying techniques-merchandising, technical or related fields enabling knowledge in merchandising, accounting and procurement procedures.
• 4 years of progressively responsible experience in management of operations, merchandising, procurement and accounting procedures.
• Ability to acquire ANACI background check and base access; ability to secure and maintain a Government Purchase Card.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a branch of five civilians in staff and operating functions for ships stores afloat bulletins and related duties.
• Develops and reviews Ships Store Bulletins for vendors, products, stock planning and inventory management.
• Plans and directs Navy ERP and Government Purchase Card programs, ensures compliance, audits, and internal controls; prepares reports and corrective actions.
• Maintains liaison with Fleet, Navy Officers, and DFAS; provides guidance and training on ERP and data management.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
