Job summary

NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND (NEXCOM) is seeking a Retail/Services Sales/Operations leader to oversee assigned service departments and concessionaire operations across Exchanges and branches. You will manage budgets, procurement, merchandising plans and inventory controls to maximize patron value and profits.

The role requires ensuring cash control, reporting, and compliance with policies; you will guide branch locations and coordinate with the Facilities Maintenance Department for improvements

Qualifications

• 3 years of administrative merchandising or related experience.
• Substitution: 1 year of study above high school may substitute for 9 months of general experience up to a 4 year degree.
• Experience in services or retail merchandising, sales promotion, and stock controls.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data to evaluate operating efficiency and costs.
• Develop budgets for assigned activities including costs, sales and profits.
• Create policies, procedures and performance standards for service functions.
• Maintain procurement sources and pricing to offer low-cost patron services.
• Monitor merchandise procurement and approve purchase orders.
• Establish service department plans and proper merchandise display.
• Prepare and submit operational and production reports.
• Estimate sales growth based on annual goals.
• Plan facility improvements and equipment replacements with facilities team.
• Ensure cash control and accuracy of receipts.
• Support branch locations and propose policy revisions as needed.
