Job summary

United States Fleet Forces Command (DON) in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Production Controller (Ships) in the CNSL Port Engineers TYPE DESK Division. You will track maintenance planning and execution for assigned ships, ensuring alignment with JFMM directives and CNSL guidance.

This is a full-time GS-12 position with occasional travel and telework at management discretion. Three vacancies are available at Naval Base Norfolk.

Qualifications

Experience analyzing maintenance requirements and priorities.
Experience estimating resources including labor and materials.
Experience preparing job orders and shop assignments.
Experience tracking material orders and inventory.

Responsibilities

Track and report maintenance availability, planning, and execution per JFMM and CNSL directives.
Review and provide recommendations for maintenance planning and modernization requirements.
Analyze maintenance requirements versus budget, availability, and schedules to set priorities.
Support preparation for Surface Team One program reviews and MMPR.
Oversee Hull, Mechanical; Electrical (HM&E) maintenance planning for CNO availabilities, CMAVs, and Windows of Opportunity.
Coordinate with alteration/modernization offices, planning, scheduling, and TYCOM work packages.
Collaborate with other units to identify financial trends, risks, and concerns.
Assist in program reviews and ongoing funding evaluation for maintenance.
