National Steel and Shipbuilding Com offers an exciting Scheduler 3 position in Norfolk, VA. The role focuses on producing critical path, resource-loaded production schedules and integrating the production schedule with AIT and Subcontractors, while delivering production reports to management.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in a related field with 2 years of related experience (or AA/AS with 4 years) and strong knowledge of NAVSEA standards, ship repair, and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field plus two (2) years directly related experience, or AA/AS plus four (4) years’ directly related experience.
• Directly related experience in project management, production management preferred.
• Knowledgeable of NAVSEA standards 009-60 and 009-111; ship repair and modernization processes.

Responsabilités

• Lead scheduler duties for a CNO availability with minimal guidance.
• Review contract documents and drawings to define scope and schedule development.
• Generate schedule-related proposal documents and outline deliverables and milestones.
• Sequence major work priorities into a logical schedule and identify critical paths.
• Modify critical paths based on conditions and create Work Breakdown Structure for new orders.
• Attend schedule reviews with Production, Trade, and Estimating personnel and report progress.
• Assist in training Schedulers on processes and products.
