LMR Technical Group seeks a Production Controller I in Norfolk, VA to oversee maintenance, repair, and modernization projects for naval vessels. You will bridge engineering requirements with shipyard production, perform onsite inspections, and manage documentation to ensure compliance and readiness.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of hands-on shipboard experience, familiarity with JFMM and AWR concepts, and proficiency in MS Office.

Formación

• Minimum eight (8) years of full-time hands-on technician experience in shipboard systems and equipment maintenance.
• Thorough understanding of JFMM planning and in-process work.
• Practical knowledge of AWR write ups for structural, mechanical and electrical concepts.
• General knowledge of work package procedures, blueprints reading, and Navy ships manuals.
• Proficiency with computer hardware and software (Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Ability to analyze procedures, prepare written reports, conduct technical studies and develop recommendations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage complex repair and construction projects from initial design to final certification.
• Apply advanced engineering principles to ensure systems meet standards.
• Technical analysis of HM&E, piping and structural systems.
• Plan and direct construction or repair projects, including contract preparation and cost estimation.
• Install, repair, and modify high-security locking mechanisms and keying systems.
• Set up testing equipment and perform quality verification with precision tools.
• Compile and maintain records of schematics, equipment status, and resources used.
• Review automated reports and ensure documentation aligns with specifications.
• Maintain communication with planners, estimators, shop foremen, and engineering personnel.
• Support continuous improvement with post-briefs and training.
