Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shift teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards across our travel plazas. The role covers cash handling, training of new hires, and adherence to food safety policies.

You will supervise daily operations, support opening/closing procedures, and actively engage customers while promoting products and services offered at the plaza.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments accurately and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and upsell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards and food safety requirements and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.
