Job summary

Applegreen USA is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations at our travel plaza locations. You will ensure team members deliver exceptional service, manage cash handling, and uphold food safety and brand standards across shifts.

You’ll train new hires, monitor compliance, and work with plaza leadership to maintain smooth opening, closing, and cash procedures while promoting cross-selling and product knowledge to travelers.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Able to interact with the public in a friendly, outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks: prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and upsell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
