The Village for Families & Children in Hartford, CT seeks a Shift Supervisor for a 24-bed residential psychiatric program serving youth ages 6-12. You will supervise direct care staff, coach a trauma-informed team, and ensure smooth shift operations while maintaining safety and program integrity.

You will co-crisis lead with the on-shift nurse, coordinate youth programming, manage staffing, and participate in on-call coverage with an additional stipend.

• Physically able to supervise groups of children and intervene if needed; move freely as required.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a co-crisis leader with the on-shift nurse to manage critical incidents.
• Oversee daily shift operations and coordinate youth programming.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and coverage to maintain appropriate ratios.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other Shift Supervisors; on-call stipend provided.
• Maintain safe, organized common areas and adhere to procedures and safety standards.
• Provide on-the-floor training, coaching, and professional development for direct care staff.
• Deliver direct care to youth as needed to maintain staffing ratios and support.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with program policies and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support youth well-being.
