Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee is an entry‑level, short‑term role that prepares an employee for future supervisory positions. Trainees receive training on operations, management, and the CVS/pharmacy culture and are eligible for promotion to Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor upon successful completion.

Essential Functions

• Work effectively with store management and crews.
• Supervise the store’s crew, assigning, directing, and following up all activities.
• Effectively communicate information both to and from store management and crews.
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS customer service culture.
• Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer proficiency.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts, and to work overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred but Not Required.
