Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a store operations associate to support the leadership team in the absence of management. You will assist customers, operate the cashier and courtesy desk, and ensure product location knowledge and store safety compliance.

The role requires basic math, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow guest experience guidelines. This is a hands-on in-store position with potential cross-department tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (preferred).
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register.
• Detail oriented with strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor associate’s adherence to company policies.
• Able to run cashier register and courtesy counter desk and handle customer concerns in efficient manner.
• Know store layout and safety equipment; conduct regular inspections.
• In the absence of the Store Director or specified department manager, will be responsible for time clock maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked store; follow PPE and Safety Guidelines and Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
