Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a store associate to work independently on displaying and stocking products while ensuring guest satisfaction and safety guidelines are met. You’ll handle transactions and support front-end operations to deliver a positive shopping experience.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Training provided; growth opportunities within the Total Rewards package and company programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; interact politely with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions accurately and in accordance with policy.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking products in required areas.
• Run cash register, enroll guests in loyalty program, and maintain a clean service area.
• Ensure correct product identification and pricing signage; report errors.
• Maintain knowledge of store programs and product locations; execute department plans.
• Communicate loyalty programs, in‑store specials and coupons to customers.
• Follow safety, security, and PPE guidelines; keep department clean and stocked.
• Assist with stocking items on sales floor, cooler, and back room.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation expectations.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on needs.
