Job summary

RRD in Dallas is seeking a production supervisor to guide employees, audit processes, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and policies. You will inspect shipments, approve setups, and coordinate training to maintain production standards.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in manufacturing, strong MS Office and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role involves cross-department coordination and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Able to consistently apply applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives when carrying out the duties of the job.
• Proficient with MS Office and related software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across departments.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and priorities.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, and rarely over 50 pounds.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
• Able to interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and audit work processes to confirm production specs.
• Maintain relationships and direct employees to the appropriate manager for policy questions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, policies and procedures.
• Inspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Review and approve machine setups, production samples, and shipments.
• Identify and report opportunities for continual improvement.
• Attend production meetings and coordinate production activities as needed.
• Coordinate or train new employees, contract workers, and guests for safety, quality, and production requirements.
• Ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and achieved.
• May supervise junior staff and review/audit work for accuracy.
• May update shift schedules in the time and attendance system.
