CVS Health is seeking a Shift Supervisor Trainee in Sterling, Illinois. This entry-level position prepares employees for supervisory roles by developing essential management skills and customer service excellence. Trainees will work closely with store management and support daily operations, ensuring a high level of service and performance in their CVS/pharmacy locations.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completing basic training, and understanding key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and customer loyalty. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the staff, ensures smooth store operations, and manages opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime is required.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or full-time salary, depending on the position, experience, education, and location.
