The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support the store management team by driving store performance and enhancing customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or full-time salary, with actual offers depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
At CVS Health, our purpose is helping people on their path to better health. We offer health services, plans, and community pharmacy services to make quality care more affordable, accessible, and seamless, supporting overall well-being.
