CVS Health is seeking a Shift Supervisor Trainee to support store operations and develop supervisory skills. This entry-level role includes essential management functions and customer service tasks, with opportunities for promotion upon program completion. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and strong communication abilities.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic management and operations training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are considered for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the Store Management team by driving store performance and enhancing customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, and advanced communication skills are preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime, is necessary.
