Job description

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to build management skills, learn about key aspects of the business, and understand CVS/pharmacy culture.

Upon successful completion of the training, trainees are eligible for promotion to supervisory roles that support store management in driving store performance and enhancing customer service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions include:
1. Management
• Collaborate effectively with management and staff
• Supervise store activities, assign tasks, and follow up
• Communicate effectively with management and staff
2. Customer Service
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints
• Promote CVS customer service culture
• Handle customer relations according to company policy
• Maintain customer confidentiality

Qualifications include:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail experience preferred
