The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completing basic management and operations training, and understanding key business aspects like customer loyalty and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support store management in executing store operations and enhancing customer service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills are preferred. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime is required.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or salary for the position, with actual offers depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
