The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles, such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completes basic operations and management training, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through excellent service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the store management team by driving store performance and enhancing customer loyalty through exceptional service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and manages opening and closing procedures.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, advanced communication skills, and flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
